The day after the BACA Spring Lunch
27th April 2017
I should like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended our Spring Luncheon yesterday, which saw a record attendance of more than 290 guests. The demand for tickets this year was the highest BACA has ever seen and we sold out in a matter of days.
Thanks to the generosity of our guests, BACA raised a fantastic sum of almost £2,800.00 for our charity for 2017, RedR. This was aided by the donation of some excellent prizes once again and I would like to thank Coastair, Jet Exchange, Signature Flight Support, Zela Aviation and BACA’s own Bernard Keay for their support with this.
As mentioned during my speech, BACA has some exciting events planned for the rest of the year; starting with our EBACE Reception Drinks in Geneva on 22nd May, to be held once again at Mr Pickwick, after the success seen by the introduction of this event in 2016; Air Charter Expo (ACE’17) at London Biggin Hill Airport on 12th September, which follows our annual golf day to be held jointly with Biggin Hill Airport the day before ACE. Last but by no means least, we have our Excellence Awards and Autumn Luncheon on 18th October for which some sponsorship still remains, but packages are being snapped up fast. Our extremely popular BACA Training Day for 2017 will be incorporated with ACE, to offer exceptional value to members attending what is set to be the biggest Air Charter Expo yet.
I should like to extend my thanks once again to our generous Sponsors: Gold Sponsor Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Silver Sponsor Weston Aviation, Bronze Sponsor LaudaMotion, Wine Sponsor Cello Aviation and Networking Drinks Sponsor MHS Aviation. We were also delighted to welcome Martin McCann from RedR to join us for lunch and explain the charity to our guests in person, as well as our entertainer, Mr Alfie Moore, who was well received.

I look forward to seeing many of you at EBACE next month. We are sharing a stand with ARGUS and you will find us at Booth F35.
