Message from the Chairman

Welcome to the Baltic Air Charter Association's website, I hope it gives you an insight into our activities.

BACA represents the interests of commercial aviation companies particularly in the aircharter industries and markets. Membership exceeds 160 companies including airbrokers, charter airlines, airports, business aircraft operators, consultants and many others.

Our principal objective is to promote integrity and ethical business practices, so that members can deal with each other (and clients can deal with our members) with confidence, regardless of where they're based or whether they have met each other before.

BACA is by far the largest air charter association in the world and its parent, the Baltic Exchange, is one of the most prestigious organisations in the City of London. Members have access to the meeting rooms, lounge, bar and excellent restaurant at the Baltic Exchange building in the heart of London's business sector.

The Association organises two spectacular lunches each year for the members and their guests, and these very popular events are extremely valuable as networking opportunities between members, and also with their clients. Tickets almost always sell out well before each event.

We also have an annual in-house awards competition, we represent, protect and promote the interests of the members to government agencies, and we can offer a dispute and conciliation service, along with legal consultation and advice.

A free internal online publicity and news service between members is provided, and BACA is represented at many aviation events, at which members can participate.

Recent developments include discounted travel opportunities for members, and provision of training courses, an area which we hope to increase significantly. We have also introduced an escrow banking facility to increase the security of advance payments made by brokers and their clients.

BACA's effectiveness comes directly from its members and the more we have, the greater our representation. So new members are always welcome!
